It was like a jigsaw puzzle with all the middle pieces missing
Or a talking giraffe (perhaps three legs was enough)
Or lines straight as possible curved around my hands
Somehow made into a web: [as if looking through water]
Under the water, and a [nothingness]
voice sending me to sleep (seemingly
so much louder drowning my words of
(coming up for air, well deep down you know these holes filled of soil are too deep and I eventually
cannot shovel fast enough and the outcome inevitably pain inducing will become a and end and feel
sick bottomless but not because you’ve eaten too much chocolate not because of dizziness) a sharp jerk
upwards
because the sound of a bird is not something you can hear under water
so tell me where
is the water that drowned me head first feet up
And excitable eagle executes a perfect dive-bomb on planet Pluto and comes back another eagle
altogether but at a glance outwardly somehow identically the same and somehow i
lost my voice but it’s hard to speak under water
you know i can feel the hole in the puzzle like it is an extension through myself and the safeness of
water against your skin, I found the finger that pointed: the sky upwards, water downwards
i could recount the precise moment i knew
